By Blood and By Mean, I Fall When You Leave: A Lykke Li Primer.
This week there was a debate on my dashboard on whether or not one would pronounce Lykke Li’s name as Lick-ee Li which is mostly correct. Anyway, this prompted a couple of us to watch a lot of her videos and besides her amazing voice, she has such an interesting personality. The songs on her debut are mostly what she thought of as more cute than mastered and her second album definitely illustrates the maturity she wanted. It’s completely possible to prefer one over the other since they are so musically different but both are worth your time.
